The collab is back and it’s groovier than ever! After being papped countless times with customised pairs of New Balance kicks, the legendary sneaker brand has linked up with modern-day fashion icon Jaden Smith to create the Vision Racer trainer.
Following the success of the Vision Racer’s previous editions, they’ve now dropped two new funky colourways as part of his ‘Trippy Summer’ collection.
Taking inspo’ from Jaden’s love for the 1970’s hippy aesthetic, the Vision Racer blends the X-Racer and his favourite NB heritage model, the 1700. It merges timeless design with his unique, fashion-forward creativity for a bold silhouette that paves the way for sustainability-led footwear.
Set in either a Cream or fresh White base, each pair boasts vibrant blue, orange, yellow and other radiant highlights as part of the artist’s desire to spread positivity and change.
Incorporating recycled materials for a vegan-friendly finish, the creps have a synthetic leather and textile upper with tonal loop lacing and a pull tab to the tongue for an easy on and off wear.
Equipped with a padded ankle collar to lock in your comfort, they’re sat on a chunky, segmented midsole for super-lightweight cushioning and an ultra-responsive step every time you hit the streets.
With an iced outsole that features a bold Vision Racer print and signature ‘N’ logos to the sidewalls, these sneaks are signed off with ‘VISION RACER’ and ‘NEW BALANCE’ text to the tongue tab and heel in a font transported from the past.
