For International Women’s Day this year, we called on our friends from the West Ham United women’s side to give lucky winners the chance to experience what it’s like to train like a pro.
As the Official Sleeve Partner of the Irons this season, the next gen of WSL ‘ballers headed down to the West Ham training ground in Chadwell Heath for a day that’ll live long in their memory.
Sharpening Their Skills ⚒
Arriving at the training ground, the girls were treated to breakfast before a training session at the indoor academy football pitch, with women’s coach Stephen Opoka.
Refuelled with lunch and ready for a big afternoon ahead, football enthusiast and content creator Alex Bailess (@alexbailess) joined the squad to host Hammers defenders Amber Tysiak, Hawa Cissoko and Anouk Denton for a Q&A!
Getting key insight on everything from their toughest opponents to the best trainers in the side, the girls made their way to the outdoor pitches to see the women’s side in action.
With a glimpse into the insane skill and work rate they put on display, they got an exclusive tour of the training ground. This gave us the perfect opportunity to gift them to the latest West Ham training kit, adidas Predator football boots, a personalised West Ham shirt with their name on the back, plusa picture of the women’s squad signed by Tysiak, Cissoko and Denton!
It was time for one final memento, getting pictures with the players from an unforgettable day.
