We’re back once again to round up a bunch of this season’s football shirts that we believe could go on to be future classics!
If you checked out part 1, then you’ll know what we’re lookin’ for! It’s the eye-catching, the unique and the interesting designs that are going to be remembered as iconic!
Some of these designs you’ll have never seen before, others may be inspired by vintage shirts of the past, but we think all of them have the potential to be shirt collector essentials in years to come!
Here’s round 2 of 2021/22 football shirts that we believe will be future classics!
Olympique Lyon 2021/22 Third Shirt
Opting for a bold, grungy vibe for their alternative shirt this season, Lyon and adidas have not held back with the French side’s third offering.
In partnership with the city’s basketball team ASVEL, who will also be reppin’ the shirt when they play, this unique design is made using a Core Black and Cloud White colourway with a paint-splatter effect for a statement look.
The monochrome aesthetic really sets this shirt apart from anything else out there right now! We think this once could be one to watch as a future classic. Pick it up right here…
Liverpool FC 2021/22 Away Shirt
Liverpool’s away offering this season doesn’t exactly match the ‘eye-catching’ criteria we usually stick too with these shirts, but this is a very smart design that could stand the test of time.
Comin’ in a Fossil colourway that takes inspo from the 1996/97 away top, this season’s away shirt from Nike compliments it with Bright Crimson and Dark Atomic Teal piping for a unique combo of colours that actually really works!
Completing the look is a retro-style button-up collar, with teal trim to the sleeves and sides for the finishing touches.
We think this design from Nike has the potential to be a must-cop for shirt collectors in years to come! What do you think? Cop it for ya’self here…
Atletico Madrid 2021/22 Away Shirt
Another interesting design from the guys at Nike, this season’s Atletico Madrid away shirt offers a distinctive design inspired by the away shirt of the mid-90s.
Lookin’ to rekindle the success of the domestic double winners, the new away top is a nod to the class of ‘96 that shocked Spanish football with victory in both La Liga and the Copa Del Rey.
It comes mostly in a Loyal Blue colourway with a stand-out Laser Crimson graphic that wraps around the bottom-left portion of the jersey. It’s a unique design rarely seen on a football shirt before, which is exactly why we think it’s future classic material! Bag it here…
Juventus 2021/22 Third Shirt
adidas and Juve have linked up to produce an absolute beauty for the 2021/22 season.
Pullin’ inspo from the ‘90s when the likes of Alessandro Del Piero, Zinedine Zidane and Fillipo Inzhagi ruled the Stadio delle Alpi, this season’s third shirt uses a similar blue and yellow colourway to the classic shirts of old.
The iconic adidas EQT line is also a big inspiration here, with the Badge of Sport logo featuring a two-colour design.
The eye-catching aesthetic comes in a Shock Yellow and High-Res Blue colourway with a pair of chevrons toward the bottom half of the shirt givin’ it that retro edge. Colour-blocking throughout makes the logos and crest pop, with Shock Blue trim to sign off. This OG-inspired shirt has future classic written all over it. Cop now!
FC Barcelona 2021/22 Away Shirt
Taking to the field in a bright, vibrant shirt design that reflects the Catalan giants exciting and stylish playing style, this top is a real statement-maker!
Featuring shiny iridescent seams and logos and landing in a Purple Pulse colourway, this Nike jersey has a super unique appeal and is inspired by women’s empowerment. This is evident in the use of the club’s iconic phrase, “tots units fem força” being included in its female form as well, “totes unides fem força”. Both mean “United We Are Strong”.
When Barca are makin’ a statement on the pitch, now their shirt is too. We reckon this could be a shirt collector staple in years to come! Do you?
