You’re not dreaming! Back by popular demand, adidas’ Scotland 150th anniversary shirt is in stock again!
After hitting the headlines on its first drop earlier this year, the iconic design made waves so big that it’s returned once more in men’s and juniors’ sizing – available both online and in selected JD stores.
Celebrating 150 years since the Scottish national team formed, here’s all you need to know about the instant classic. ⬇
150 Years of Style
Back in November 1872, the first ever recognised Scotland team, made up of Queen’s Park players, faced England in front of 4,000 people. Taking place at the West of Scotland Cricket Ground in Partick, Glasgow, the match finished 0-0.
Now 150 years on, the national side has seen plenty of highs and lows as well as some standout kits along the way.
To commemorate the landmark, adidas has delivered a vintage-inspired, special edition shirt that blends parts of the fans’ favourite designs throughout this time.
Staying true to the traditional dark blue shade, this shirt comes in the brand’s Collegiate Navy colourway.
It’s packed with retro detailing, most notably the thick crewneck collar in White and the striped cuffs on the short sleeves that draw inspo from socks of the past.
What’s not so old-school about the shirt is the build quality. adidas has cut it with 100% recycled materials for a polyester fabric that feels super-smooth against the skin.
Not stoppin’ there, they’ve also added signature AEROREADY tech throughout for cool, sweat-wicking comfort when the match heats up.
To finish off the archive design, a tonal Performance logo and a classic Scotland crest are embroidered to the chest.
