Liverpool’s 2023/24 home kit has just landed and it’s a throwback to an iconic era in the team’s history.
50 years on, the shirt is a celebration of the legendary Bill Shankley’s final great LFC team, which won the 1974 FA Cup with stars like Kevin Keegan, Phil Thompson and Ray Clemence.
It would be Shankley’s last trophy as Liverpool manager before going into retirement.
‘70s Throwback
Inspired by the famous team of 1973-74, the new Liverpool home shirt lands in the signature Gym Red colourway, and features the same White cuffs and crewneck collar of the ‘70s shirt.
It’s not the first time this design has been revived, with Reebok dropping a similar shirt back in 1998-00.
But this shirt comes decked out with all the mod-cons, including Nike’s innovative Dri-FIT technology that wicks away sweat to help keep you and the players cool and focussed.
From Mo Salah to Darwin Núñez and Luis Díaz, Liverpool’s lethal forward line will be bringing the goals next season, so the new shirt will need to match their high standards.
It’s cut from breathable polyester fabric for a lightweight, ventilated wear and is finished up with the classic crest and Nike Swoosh to the chest.
As always, the shirt has the number 97 between two eternal flames to the back of the collar, to remember those who lost their lives in the Hillsborough Disaster.
Classic Gym Red shorts and socks complete the full kit so you can rep it like the pros.
The shorts come with an elasticated waistband for a relaxed wear, with an adjustable drawcord so you can optimise the fit.
The socks are cut from stretchy knit mesh for a cool, comfy feel and feature extra padding underfoot for durability.
Alongside the new kit, Liverpool are dropping a fresh range of training gear to get you matchday ready!
Cop the brand-new home shirt right here and cheer on the Reds at Anfield next season.
