Nike’s legendary silhouette gets an industrial-inspired look with the Air Force 1 Utility; the latest take on the AF1.
First dropping in 1982, the Air Force 1 sneaker isn’t new to being experimented with. Although the OG styles continue to make waves, Nike have kitted the sneak out in more than 1700 colourways, including game-changing collabs and fresh packs.
Redefining Legendary Style
Keepin’ the same design lines as Bruce Kilgore’s OG, the Air Force 1 Utility has been given a weatherised update, just in time for the colder seasons. AKA. ‘Under Construction’, these sneakers are all about getting things done. The modified, Utility edition actually takes its inspiration from shipping containers, which gives the sneaker an industrial edge.
They’re built with a durable, condition-ready leather upper in a classic, low-profile design. For supreme cushioning, these trainers are sat on a foam midsole with Nike’s encapsulated Air unit underfoot.
Going bigger with branding, these trainers rep vertical stripe, Nike Air graphics to the sidewalls, as well a stencil-style tongue label. Not stopping there, they’re finished up with an extreme, hi-vis Swoosh to the sidewalls – another nod to the ‘Under Construction’ feel.
