With the re-launch of the 574 silhouette, March 15th (aka ‘Grey Day’) will see New Balance go back to their roots, bringing back their Original Grey colourway – their most iconic colour palette.
Going against the grain in the ‘80s, New Balance chose to standout by embracing a more subdued, grey colour palette, which contrasted to the running shoe trend of the time; bright neon colourways (ironic right?!). Pushing performance and subtlety helped New Balance to become one of the most respected names around, creating a legacy to be honoured and celebrated with this new release.
The kick taking pride of place on ‘Grey Day’ is the 574. Originating as the result of two other New Balance sneakers being combined, the 574 has been referred to as the original ‘mash-up’ and has been since its inception in ‘88. Growing from an advance running shoe to the everyday classic it is today, the 574 remains, undoubtedly, New Balance’s most popular trainer.
Grey Day takes over Thursday, March 15th – don’t miss out on the iconic grey 574 in men’s, women’s and kids’ sizing. Can’t wait? Shop the silhouette here.
