Throw it back to the ‘90s. Skateboarders all over the globe were lacing up in big, puffy skate shoes.
Vans took note and in 1998, they released the Knu Skool. Although it took cues from the Old Skool that originally dropped over 20 years prior in ’77, the Knu Skool ditched the classic slim upper and vulcanised Waffle sole for the big puffy look that was taking over at the time.
Fast forward to today and Vans have brought it back! The Knu Skool just dropped, exclusively to JD, in Black/White and Navy/White colourways.
They keep the signature ‘Off The Wall’ aesthetic with a low top design, Waffle tread and a premium suede upper. Bringing ‘90s vibes, these reissued kicks have a puffy, exaggerated tongue and ankle collar, which give it a chunky, board-ready look.
The silhouette’s been updated with heel pulls for easy on and off, and is finished up with a puffed up 3D molded Sidestripe.
