Crowning the Capital
Back in 1927, following the merger of three Rome-based sports clubs – Fortitudo-ProRoma, Football Club di Roma and Alba-Audace – Associazione Sportiva Roma was founded.
Taking on the Capitoline Wolf crest and the colours of the city, the iconic club has seen the biggest stars in Italian football don the kit. This list includes Franco Tancredi, Aldair, Giacomo Losi, Guiseppe ‘The Prince’ Giannini, Roberto Pruzzo and more recently Daniele De Rossi and Francesco Totti.
With a long history that’s seen Roma secure the Serie A title three times, the Coppa Italia nine times and the Supercoppa Italiana twice, the new era of AS Roma has only just begun.
Lifting the newly formed UEFA Europa Conference League trophy in 2021/22 under the stewardship of Jose Mourinho, I Lupi (The Wolves) have a squad built to win again.
Now managed by club legend Daniele De Rossi, the current side has international experience and title-winning pedigree coursing through it in the likes of Chris Smalling, Leandro Paredes, Renato Sanches, Stephan El Shaarawy, Romelu Lukaku and Paolo Dybala.
