With subtle nods to where it all began, adidas has crafted a unique strip for a significant moment for the club.

Celebrate The Start
Founded all the way back in 1874, Aston Villa quickly became one of the best teams in the Midlands throughout the 1880s, winning the Birmingham Senior Cup nine times in 12 seasons.
By the mid-1890s, they were one of the top teams in the country, winning six First Division titles between the years 1894 and 1910.
The new home strip that the current generation will step out in at Villa Park is a celebration of where it all began for the Birmingham-based club.
From humble beginnings to English and European Champions in the 1980s, they’ve come a long way since their very first game against Aston Brook St Mary’s Rugby team.
The new shirt features subtle nods to the first kit Aston Villa’s men’s team stepped out in that day.
Narrow stripes on the flat-knit collar honour that very strip from 1874, while an ‘AV 150’ logo to the back collar marks the 150th anniversary.
The shirt lands in the classic Claret and Glow Blue colourway and is cut from light, breathable recycled polyester, with built-in AEROREADY tech to manage moisture.
Mesh ventilation panels to the back and sides amp up the airflow to help you stay cool, calm and composed on the pitch.
The shirt lands alongside shorts and socks and comes in men’s, women’s and kids’ sizes.
