Man City Take On Spurs In The Premier League

With the return of the Premier League after the international break, it’s back with a bang as City welcome Postecoglou’s Spurs side to the Etihad this Saturday at 5:30pm.

Having recently played each other in the Carabao Cup on 30th November, the Cityzens will be looking to get revenge on Big Ange’s side after they were beat 2-1 away from home.

Pep’s Problems 🫤

Guardiola’s side have now recorded four losses in a row, which is a record number of losses for the Spaniard in his whole managerial career!

They are now five points behind Arne Slot’s flying Liverpool side, so will need to pick up points in this game to avoid the gap growing.

However, City are hopeful of having some of their big hitters returning to action after being sidelined with injuries.

The list includes Phil Foden, Matheus Nunes, Jeremy Doku, Nathan Ake, Manuel Akanji, John Stones, Ruben Dias and Jack Grealish. It is not certain, however, if all of them will be available to play.

Will Ange Ball Return to its Full Flow? ⚽

It’s been a tale of up and downs for Spurs this season. Currently sat slap bang in the middle of the Premier League standings, Big Ange’s side have struggled to go more than two games before dropping points.

On the positive side of things, Spurs have not been short on scoring goals this season. Leading the table currently with 23, it shows that they still pose a threat up front.

Club record signing Dominic Solanke has started to fire for Spurs after a slow start to his campaign, with four goals in the Premier League to his name.

Spurs are still without their star defender Micky van de Ven, who isn’t expected to return until the start of December, so will have to be on their A-game to control top goal scorer Erling Haaland in this fixture.

So, can Manchester City return to winning ways, or will they be beaten on their own turf by the North London club?
