adidas Originals Icons: Campus 00s

Back in a big way, the adidas Originals Campus 00s are making waves in the streets.

Born on the courts, the Campus 00s are a refresh of the original Campus from back in the ‘80s.

These were designed for hardwood basketball courts but were quickly adopted by the streets and eventually, due their hardwearing nature, shock absorption and grippy outsole, skaters.

To pay homage to this, adidas dropped the Campus 00s in 2022, taking that classic b-ball look and bringing some chunkier, skate-inspired energy from the nineties and noughties.

Now, the Campus 00 has become a street staple and to flex ‘em, we’ve recruited three icons from three of the UK’s biggest cities – Liverpool, London and Manchester.

Jayden Danns (@jayden.danns)

Born and raised in Liverpool, Jayden Danns is living out every 18-year-olds’ dream.

Playing professional football for his boyhood club, appearing alongside his heroes, scoring in the FA Cup and taking to the field at Wembley. Huge moments for a local lad and still with the world at his feet.

A proud Scouser, Liverpool is where Jayden belongs, and Anfield is where he calls home.

Keep an eye on this lad.

Reek0 (@reek0_)

Raised in Tottenham, North London, Reek0 has been building a loyal fanbase over the last few years with his unique sound and exciting collaborations with the likes of Nia Archives and Bawo.

Part of the Brighter Days Family, a tight-knit music collective that champions each other’s sound and brings the best out of one another, Reek0’s love for those closest to him and his hometown come across in his music.

His sound, a vibrant and intricate mix of hip-hop, jungle and other UK-inspired sounds, has cut through to many and put him on a sharp trajectory to the top.

Marlon Camacho (@marsmp3_)

Based in Manchester, Marlon Camacho is a radio presenter known for BBC Radio Manchester, BBC Sport and Reform Radio.

Always looking to shine a light on the freshest and most exciting talent Manchester has to offer, Marlon has become an important voice, championing up-and-coming artists in the world of music and culture in MCR.

Constantly on the hunt for the next big thing in his hometown, Marlon’s love for the city and the creatives within is clear to see.

The Campus 00

Made to last, these sneaks are cut with a smooth yet durable suede leather upper for a premium look and feel.

A terry textile lining delivers a snug, comfy fit when you slip ‘em on, while a lace fastening and padded ankle collar bring a secure, supported feel.

They have a grippy rubber tread for firm traction and are signed off with the iconic 3-Stripes and Trefoil branding.
