One of adi’s boldest new silhouettes, the ZX 2K Boost first dropped as part of adidas Originals’ ZX collection back in June, and the family just got a little larger.
A Catch Up
The ZX 2K Boost is the latest in a long-line of loud new silhouettes inspired by runners of the past. The ZX line originally launched back in the 1980s, designed as purpose-built running sneaks – today, their nostalgic look lends itself to a street-ready fashion trainer.
Boost
They’re called Boost for a reason.
These wavy kicks sit upon adi’s Boost midsole. Boost came about in 2015 when adi teamed up with German chemical company BASF to create a new midsole unrivalled in its cushioning. This Boost tech lets the midsole hold and restore energy unlike any other sneaker available.
What’s New?
The ZX 2K Boost has been available in full family sizing for a little while now and this time adi is adding two new colourways for men and women. While the men’s model comes in a low-key, JD-exclusive black design, the women’s is a loud white and pink showpiece.
As always, they are created with a breathable, engineered mesh upper to keep your feet cool and sit on that Boost midsole to keep you steppin’ light.
