After successfully defending his titles against Carlos Takam with a 10th round stoppage in front of over 75,000 spectators, Anthony Joshua is back in Cardiff for his first bout of 2018. In his mission to become the Unified Undisputed Champion of the World, AJ takes on Joseph Parker on the 31st March looking to add the WBO title to his name.
Whilst coming into the fight as the underdog, Joseph Parker, who is also undefeated, will be feeling confident of an upset. The New-Zealander comes into the fight boasting a record of 24-0-0, with 18 of those wins coming by KO.
AJ on the other hand (20-0-0, 20KOs), will be eager not to take Parker lightly. Joshua is expected to be leaner and lighter for the fight. The 28 year-old weighed in at 18st 4lb for the Takam fight and is currently down to 17st 7lb, with promoter Eddie Hearn stating he can’t see Joshua coming into the fight too much heavier.
