Just Dropped: Celtic Origins

Even more good news, The Bhoys fans! After last week’s release of the Celtic Icons collection, adidas has now dropped the latest Celtic Origins range, right here at JD.

Available now, the brand-new kit comes in both men’s and juniors’ sizes – perfect for matchdays at Celtic Park or sharpening your skills on the training ground.

Wanna know what it’s all about? Get the details on the collection below.

Classic in the Four-Leaf Clover

In 1887, a meeting was held at St. Mary’s church hall in Calton, Glasgow, with the aims of forming a club to help alleviate poverty in the East End of the city.

Celtic was born, and with it a name rooted in Irish and Scottish history from the people that attended that same meeting.

Now, with 52 Scottish Premiership titles to their name, adidas is digging deep into the club’s history with a kit that ties back to Celtic’s Irish DNA.

The classic polo shirt has a single button placket, a fold-down collar and short sleeves with ribbed trims. Equipped with tri-coloured detailing at the collar and cuffs, the oversized Four-Leaf Clover stands out on the chest, while a contrasting Celtic Cross adds further Irish ties at the nape.

The mid-rise shorts have an elasticated waistband with an adjustable drawcord fastening to the front to keep them secure. Along with this, the mesh gusset adds airflow for when the game heats up.

To complete the set, the socks are cut with an anatomical design for a secure fit over your shin pads. Pair that with lightweight cushioning to high-wear areas and you’re good to go for the full 90 mins.

Landing in a Shadow Green colourway, the kit is signed off with adidas’ signature 3-Stripes and Badge of Sport branding throughout.

As part of the brand’s move to a sustainable future, the range is cut from recycled Primegreen polyester, using sweat-wicking AEROREADY tech for cool and dry comfort.
