Ready to rep the latest from Converse? The iconic Star and Chevron brand are once again championing the next gen of creatives, this time teaming up with British hip hop duo A1 (@a1orfundz) and J1 (@j1mulla).
As part of their #CreateNext campaign, Converse are celebrating the boys’ alternative rise to fame and how they’re inspiring a new influx of music talent.
All About A1 x J1
The pair’s linkup wasn’t a traditional get-together, meeting on the app Houseparty in 2020 during lockdown, 17-year-old A1 from North West London now based in Coventry and 19-year-old J1 from Kent started their rapping dreams remotely.
Their initial work went viral on Tik Tok, and since their 15 seconds of fame the duo have grown in popularity and production levels, with their first single released reaching no.2 in the UK charts!
Not looking back, they’ve gone from strength-to-strength in such a rapid amount of time, collaborating with huge names in the industry, such as Aitch, KSI and Tion Wa.
