JD Foundation Podcast Launch With HideOut Youth Zone

The JD Foundation teamed up with HideOut Youth Zone, a Manchester-based young-person’s charity, to premiere the first episode of the all-new internal podcast.

Senior Club member of the charity, Aliyah, was invited to JDHQ to host the episode, which featured JD Foundation Manager Adam Warriner, and People Experience Business Partner, Rickey Devonish.

Aliyah chatted with both Adam and Rickey about their upcoming plans for the JD Foundation relaunch, which includes a full three-year plan to make the foundation better than ever before, and the introduction of JD UP!

Launch Event

As a thank you to Aliyah for hosting, JD wanted to give something back by hosting a launch event at HideOut Youth Zone, with a full screening of the episode, before it was released to JD staff.

JD took over the dance studio and around 70 young people involved with the charity were invited, along with Aliyah’s family and friends, to watch the podcast.

Popcorn was dished out for the full premiere experience, and everyone received some goodies, including some new trainers and a water bottle.

During the event, the young people were able to chat to staff about their career journeys, and some of them even landed jobs within JD Sports!

The JD Foundation has been a proud patron of the HideOut Youth Zone since 2019 and is excited to continue supporting them as they continue their amazing work giving young people in Manchester a safe and supportive place to succeed.
