As part of our continued goal to create opportunities for young people with the JD Foundation, 28 March gave us the perfect opportunity to kickstart our vision by taking over the BLGC (formally Bolton Lads and Girls Club).
Here at JD, we know what time, dedication and energy it takes bringing a campaign shoot to life, and so we decided to give young people aged 13-19 a first-hand glimpse of what it’s like during our BLGC takeover evening.
Collaborating with BLGC, local charities Salford Youth Zone, Bolton Wanderers in the Community and Hideout Youth Zone invited young people to join us at BLGC Infinity to get creative.
Matt B Customs (@mattbcustoms) hosted a tailored workshop, including a tutorial on how to heat press iconic designs, to lace changeouts and painting a signature look on their Nike Air Force 1s.
After customising their trainers, JD’s Studio team showed them how to shoot their own images, then took them through a step-by-step guide on how to edit to create campaign-ready shots. 📸
And it didn’t stop there… Crep Protect offered everyone a trainer cleaning service to keep their kicks in pristine condition whilst their “Cop or Flop” arcade game gave each winner a chance to bag Crep Protect items or even a fresh pair of Nike AF1s! 🕹
Goody bags filled with a Crep Protect cleaning kit, Nike socks, a water bottle and more were handed out to all attendees.
From inspiring the next generation to helping shape their career, the JD Foundation is all about making a difference to young people’s lives, and we can’t wait to welcome some of these young people to our JDUP event in April.
