We linked up with The North Face over the weekend to get involved with their ‘The Climb’ festival! Here’s what went down.
As part of The North Face’s ‘The Climb’ festival, some of the best climbers from around the globe came together to take on the wall. For the first ever London-based edition of the festival, climbers raced to the top of the wall, floating on water against the backdrop of Canary Wharf.
Pushing Boundaries 🧗
Over Friday 12th and Saturday 13th July, we took to Canary Wharf with our JD branded boat to scope out the scene and cheer on the climbers.
On Friday, we welcomed over 265 people on board to watch the qualifying races, and vibe with a performance from London-based artist Anu, and a headline set from Nine8 collective.
Saturday was an elevated experience for influencers and VIPs as the finals took place. We also captured the event on our socials, hosted by the one and only @AbrahamBunga!
Over the weekend, we saw DJ sets from @Jelsenmusic, @_Stockedup, @Simmoo___, @Roomtoo_, and @Jay_devlin, too.
The JD Foundation showed up for the weekend as well, with four lucky winners taking part in the boulder wall challenge.
The festival saw athletes from all over the world go head-to-head in Deep Water Solo climbing, scaling The North Face’s 17-metre-high wall above the Canary Wharf dock, plummeting into the water to break their fall.
