Opening Weekend: What’s On
We’re linking up with your favourite names, some huge stars, and hosting some next-level giveaways across three weekends. Keeping that hype going strong.
On the opening weekend of Saturday 7th June, head in-store at JD Trafford Centre, where we’ll be pullin up with some familiar faces who’ll be opening up the store, so make sure you show up early. Trust, you don’t wanna miss this one. Want to know the deets? Stay locked into our socials @jdsports. We’ll keep you in the loop there.
We’ll be giving you the chance to get involved with challenges and prizes to win all weekend long, so we wanna see you there.
Big Brands Only
Across the opening weekend, some of your fave brands will be takin over in-store.
Come see the bespoke Manchester Originals Market, ft. link-ups with local creatives and iconic adidas Originals heat. Spend £30 or more on adidas Originals to bag some exclusive treats. We’ve collabed with Manchester coffee institution Federal to hand out their 200 of their viral matcha cans. You’ll also unlock exclusive art prints, flowers, or even some sneaker customisation. This one’s gonna be here for the first three weekends of JD Trafford Centre, so make sure you head down before it packs up.
We’re bringing even more buzz with an adidas Originals barbers. For the guys, we’re linking up with @BarbersNo1. Spend £20 or more on a men’s Trefoil fit, and get a free haircut. Can’t flex a new look without the fresh trim to match, right?
Feel like adding some colour? Shop the JD-exclusive Unlike Humans collection in-store for a free sweet treat. We’ll be serving up fresh fits and mochi ice cream with UH through the opening weekend.
We’ve teamed up with PUMA across the Saturday and Sunday, too. We’ll be giving away some classic PUMA heat in-store. You’ll have the chance to win a brand-new pair of PUMA Nitros. As well as all that, there’s a top prize of tickets to some Manchester City matches. Don’t miss out on this one!
Stanley Custom Lab
Thought we were finished? Not quite.
Following on from a huge opening weekend, on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th June, we’re linking up with MBC and Stanley for the ultimate customisation experience.
Cop any Stanley tumbler or bottle in-store, and the MBC guys will be on-hand at our Stanley Custom Lab to add some free personalisation to your new Stanley. The MBC squad can make your new Stanley one of a kind, just pick your design and the guys will engrave it.

What’s more, MattB and the team are sticking around. That means you can have your hauls personalised in our Trafford Centre store, any time you want.
MBC will have its own dedicated space in-store, on-hand to add a personal touch when you cop trainers, clothing or accessories. From hand painted designs to custom-cut vinyl stencils, adding decals and patches, lace accessories and bespoke engraving, we’re buzzing to have MattB and the guys based here.
Crep Protect Cleanin Up
Not stopping there, the Crep team are comin through on the opening weekend, so you can shoot your shot at bagging a free pair of creps, or vouchers for free sneaker cleans.
They’ll be handing out some Crep goodies, and hosting the ‘Cop or Flop’ where you can get involved and have your chance to win.
Crep will have its own spot in JD Trafford Centre, too. So even after the opening weekend, you can head in-store for Sneaker Services, where Creps’ skilled Sneaker Technicians will always be around to keep your kicks fresh.
Whether you’re after a deep clean or just a light touch-up, the Sneaker Technicians can work with any materials, any trainers.
Crep is levelling up sneaker care at JD, with its full collection of Crep Protect products ready to buy and take home. Just chat to the pros, and they’ll talk you through what you need.
