Born out of the running scene, New Balance’s 1906R has returned this year with its classic silhouette in all-new JD-exclusive colourways.
Inspired by the 2000s, the Boston born brand has been celebrating the trending sneaker with a world tour!
Heading to venues across the globe with some of the biggest stars from their field, London’s Aures played host to one of the hottest names in UK hip hop RN, Loyle Carner. 🔥
On Stage in the 1906R
Linking up at the exclusive event in the capital’s Southbank, the likes of Savanna Small and Children of Zeus amped up the intimate crowd with DJ sets before the main man himself stepped out.
Lacing up with the full crew in the 1906R, Loyle and the gang were repping JD-exclusive colourways of the retro runner.
Loyle lapped up the last of the summer vibes with the White/Raincloud/Grey Matter design, pairing up with roomy jean shorts and a classic white tee.
The boys on bass and guitar brought New Balance’s ‘Grey Day’ look to life with the Slate Grey/Brighton Grey/Castlerock colourway, showing off its versatility with cargo pants and straight leg chinos.
Sandwiched between a huge season full of festival sets on the biggest stages, the ultimate Loyle Carner fans got the chance to catch him play his biggest hits: we’re talking Ain’t Nothing Changed, Ottolenghi, Damselfly and Loose Ends.
