Conquering Europe last season was by far an easy feat for Man City, but with even greater expectation on the champs, they’ll need to look and play the part when chasing back-to-back Champions League trophies.
Fit for the treble winners, PUMA has delivered the goods once again with the latest away strip.
Putting the north western city at the heart of the design, here’s how the Blues will be gearing up when they’re on the road.
Made of Manchester
Much like PUMA’s City designs since partnering up with the club in July 2019, the German-born brand has leant into the city’s rich history and culture to create both bold and tonal patterns. And this year’s is no different.
In a PUMA White colourway with Aubergine trims, the body has a tonal all-over print drawn from an archival weave pattern that celebrates the industrious heart of Manchester, and the city’s grafters and crafters. The V-neckline has a classic fold-down collar, while the short sleeves feature ribbed cuffs.
Match the shirt up with the contrasting shorts and the White knee-length socks for the complete kit.
The Cut of the Cloth
The stadium shirt is made with 100% recycled polyester (excluding the trims and badges), using dryCELL tech to wick sweat away.
For the players, the match shirt that the likes of John Stones, Erling Haaland and Ederson will be stepping out in is cut from something a little different…
To stay up to speed with the tempo that Pep Guardiola’s City side play at, the shirt is made using PUMA’s innovative ULTRAWEAVE technology.
The brand’s lightest performance fabric to date, four-way engineered mechanical stretch allows the players to sprint and change direction without any restrictions. This two-dimensional ripstop build is also ultra-durable and breathable at the same time.
