Timeless Treads From adidas Originals

Delivering iconic sneakers for decades, adidas Originals do not rest when it comes to producing the freshest footwear in the game.

With a legendary line-up, there are so many signature silhouettes to shout about, but we’ve got some of the hottest young talents in the world of music and sport to showcase some of the best.

Icons like the Campus 00s, Samba and HB Spezial are back in must-cop colourways, so take a look below!

Campus 00s x Ben Whittaker & Nafe Smallz

Repping the adidas Originals Campus 00s is British boxer Ben Whittaker (@benwhittaker) and rapper, singer/songwriter Nafe Smallz (@nafesmallz).

Born in Darlaston and raised in the West Midlands, Ben Whittaker is on a one-way route to the very top.

An Olympic silver medallist in Tokyo in 2021, his disappointment at not winning gold says all you need to know about his mentality and drive to succeed.

Since turning pro in 2022, he’s yet to be beaten, with eight wins and no losses, including five knockouts.

Remember the name, he’ll be selling out arenas soon enough.

Luton-born hip-hop and trap artist Nafe Smallz burst onto the UK rap scene with his track “What Do You Mean”.

He has since gone on to collab with some huge names, both in the UK and across the pond, linking up with the likes of Wretch 32 and Lil Tjay.

Pay attention, Nafe isn’t going away anytime soon.

Now, along with Ben, he’s showing off the latest adidas Originals Campus 00s.

The Campus 00s is a refresh of the OG Campus, originally a basketball sneaker in the ‘80s.

Taking cues from the original but coming with a chunkier aesthetic, it’s inspired by street and skate culture of the nineties and noughties.

HB Spezial & Samba x La La

Lacing up in two terrace icons is Glaswegian DJ and producer La La (@lalaselector).

Leaving her native Glasgow in 2019 to base herself in London and pursue her DJ career, La La’s now played to millions across the world. She’s toured Europe, Asia and Australia and performed at the likes of Fabric London, Awakenings Amsterdam and Circoloco Ibiza.

Don’t sleep on her, she’ll be a household name before you know it.

La La loves her trainers and is showcasing two legendary terrace trainers from adidas Originals, the HB Spezial and Samba.

First introduced as an indoor court shoe in the ‘70s, the HB Spezial was soon adopted as a fashion piece by football fans following their team around Europe.

The Samba also has sporting roots. It quickly got swept up in the terrace craze in the ‘70s and continued to be popular throughout the Britpop movement of the ‘90s.

Now repped by some of the biggest names on the planet, from Kaia Gerber to Rhianna and Pharrell, the Samba is back in a big way!

Grab yourself a pair of adidas Originals HB Spezials and Sambas right now at JD!
