New Balance have combined with Liverpool FC to launch a stunning “Blackout” edition shirt, available now at JD Football online.
The new all-black shirt offers an extension to their 19/20 collection which pays homage to the great Bob Paisley, who is regarded as one of the club’s greatest managers.
The design remains the same as the home shirt, but has an all-black stylish finish.
“A pin stripe design draws inspiration from Liverpool’s 1982/83 strip, when Paisley was the club’s manager,” a club statement had revealed.
Paisley, born on 23 January 1919, won the top flight title as a player with The Reds back in 1947, before leading them to five league titles and three European Cups during an eight-year period (1975-1983) as manager.
The iconic manager’s signature remains inscribed on the inside of the neck, just as the home top, but in black.
The current European, World, and soon to be Premier League champions, are enjoying their best period since the Paisley-era under Jurgen Klopp.
The former Dortmund chief has continued the legacy, and is set to end 30-years of pain at Anfield, by delivering their first Premier League title once the season resumes.
