First launching in the ‘90s dressed in the iconic ‘Silver Bullet’ colourway, the Air Max 97 has since become a major icon. Designed by legendary Christian Tresser, its futuristic look took inspiration from water dropping into a pond, which explains why the wavy overlays extend out to the full-length Air unit – the first of its kind.
In contrast to the statement 3M reflective detailing, the hidden lacing system is low key – easy to overlook but a massive part of the silhouettes DNA.
Switching up the traditional silver colourway for a luxurious metallic gold, this iconic silhouette guarantees to turn heads in a completely new way. Combining waves of golden leather and 3M, the metallic gold OG is a cult icon, often considered collectable because it flies out as soon as it drops.
