Fresh In Jordan’s MVP Line-Up

We’ve got NEWs for you 📣 Jordan’s dropped even more MVP heat with two new colourways joining the ranks.

Last time around, we joined forces with fashion icon, Ayra Starr and rapper, Guy2Bezbar who styled up the MVP while steppin’ out in Paris. This time, we’re switching it up as two new faces join the community…

Showing you how to rep ‘em, we’ve linked up with Jess Lawrence (@jessylaw) and Strandz (@officialstrandz) who are lacing up in just-dropped editions of the MVP.

Inspired by MJ

Wanna’ know where the MVP all started? The Jordan brand has basketball DNA rooted into its core, and so as you’d expect, the inspiration for the MVP all started on the court.

The design of the sneaker pays homage to Michael Jordan’s first 3-peat championship run, taking cues from not one, or two but four Jordan kicks. It began based on the SP-12 and slowly evolved, with elements of the AJ 6, 7 and 8 all featuring.

A mashed-up design calls for a whole combo of materials. The MVP’s upper is made using panels of leather, textile and nubuck, with the tongue top and overlay nodding to the Air Jordan 6. The semi-bootie lining celebrates the 7, while molded heel detailing is taken straight from the AJ8.

For signature Jordan comfort, these trainers are sat on a lightweight midsole with an encapsulated Nike Air-Sole unit taking things to new levels.

As Seen On…

Dubbed a multifaceted creative covering everything from fashion lecturing to hosting Nike SNKRS, Jess always nails the look. She’s passionate about the female sneaker community and is sporting the Black/Sky Mauve/Java Ice colourway of Jordan’s MVP. Up top, Jessie is keeping the look laidback with a matching sweatshirt and joggers tracksuit combo – an Autumn/Winter essential.

Making waves in the industry, South London star Strandz has been climbing the scene with his nostalgic sound. Just like the MVP, he takes inspiration from a range of influences, blending old and new to create something fresh. He’s wearing a White/Black/Off Noir edition of the MVP, alongside a full Jordan ‘fit.
