Inspired to Get Running?

With the buzz of the London Marathon still in the air (and all over our feeds), we’ve got the running feels.

It’s not always easy to persuade yourself to get up and out, but with better weather and lighter nights here, it’s officially the season to pick it up. Trust us…it gets easier!

If you’re new to the whole running thing, we’ve put together a lil checklist of the essentials to help boost your motivation. 📈

Want to lace up and give it a go? Lock in the below!

Runners For Runners

The right footwear can make or break a run! You might not be the next Eliud Kipchoge (yet 👀), but that doesn’t mean that your trainers aren’t important.

Brands like Nike, ASICS and On Running have dropped running trainers that are great for everyone, from entry level to those prepping for marathons! With a range of breathable knit uppers on the market, plus all kinds of technology for a smooth ride, do your research on what you think’s best for you.

If you’re running on uneven terrain that’s often wet, we’ve got trail runners with a waterproof finish, plus ultra-grippy outsoles to keep you on your feet. Planning on sticking to the treadmill or a flatter route? Scroll the complete collection of running trainers now.

Innovative Tech

From head to toe, fitness brands have thought of everything you need when racking up the miles. Constantly innovating, there’s a whole range of tech you can rep – designed to keep you cool, dry and comfy during every stride.

When it comes to your running ‘fit, sweat-wicking tech is key! From Nike’s Dri-FIT to adidas’ AEROREADY technology, make sure your gear comes equipped with the moisture-wicking power to keep you feeling good to go.

Underfoot is where tech really can make a difference! On Running’s CloudTec not only turns heads, but keeps each ride smooth whether you’re tackling couch to 5k or going long distance. Not stopping there, Nike’s bringing React and Zoom tech to keep you light on your feet, while adidas’ legendary BOOST midsole is all about responsiveness.

Stay Hydrated 💦

Running 🤝 hydration! It’s no secret that drinking lots of water is good for us, but it’s extra important when you’re running.

Try and drink around 500ml once you get back to replace and fluids lost while you’ve been sweating. To help? Pick up a water bottle to have on hand. We’ve got running specific bottles that you can easily carry with you on-the-go, as well as stacks of styles and colours to make sure you’re getting those much-needed mls!

Kickback & Recover

Just as important as putting in the work…recovery! If you don’t give yourself time to rest and recover, you’ll be more likely to get an injury that could put a halt to your running goals.

Make sure you take just a little bit of time after your run to cool down and stretch off – this could be as easy as a short walk until your heart rate has dipped back to normal. As well as stretching properly, sleep is important too for recovery, which is when your muscles take the time to rest and repair.

For extra achy muscles, check out THERABODY’s range of recovery tech, including the iconic Theragun massager.
