Thursday 15th March saw New Balance launch their 574 silhouette in its most iconic and timeless colourway – the grey day pack. To celebrate the occasion, JD and New Balance teamed up to offer two lucky winners a pair of the newly released trainers as well as the opportunity to ride around London in a black cab with none other than Charlie Sloth and friends.
The day began at our Oxford Street store where the winners collected their trainers and took a look around the store where they were greeted by Charlie. After a chat they hopped in the cab to start their tour of London. Special guests Devlin, Sneakbo and Paigey Cakey joined the two winners and Charlie to ask questions, hear stories about upcoming projects and chat about their experience so far.
After the ride, Charlie posed questions to the group to win some fresh prizes from New Balance and to ask how they found the experience. Whilst the iconic launch may have been labelled ‘grey day’, the event was certainly anything but monochrome, with the evening headlined by Mike Skinner of The Streets.
