JDX Esports Event Finals!

JD took over the Esports scene last weekend when the JDX Esports Event Finals took over Dock 10 in Manchester!

The event brought together elite-level gamers to battle it out for the crown of JDX champion, with the winners being flown out to Las Vegas to train and play for JDX Esports!

With so much happening during the event, we’re gonna give you the highlights to make sure you’re up-to-date with everything that went down during the finals!

The JDX Experience

With the heats taking place at Westfield Stratford City and the Trafford Centre, the dominant gamers emerged and headed to Manchester to battle it out for the crown at Dock 10.

With virtual skills on display, the event also saw some performances from football freestylers and BMX masters to get everyone hyped up and ready for the rest of the tournament!

A retro arcade section let everyone get in some throwback gaming to test out their old-school play and try and claim the high score! With Calfreezy (@realcalfreezy) puttin’ in some work on several different games, it was always gonna be tough to claim the top spot.

With the JD crew there to experience the day for themselves, we saw Tomi (@gadgetsboy), Arabella (@amazingarabella), JD (@jaadinthekid), and Arooj (@vogue_wonders) try their hand at the games before watchin’ the finals and givin’ their reaction on the @jdofficial insta!

Tough Competition

Down to the tournament itself, we saw elite-level FIFA players and Rocket League teams clash with some high-intensity gameplay that had jaws droppin’ and Dock 10 rockin’!

Streamed live on the JDXOfficial Twitch channel, the event was seen all over the world to make sure everyone could see the skills that were on display!

After several different match ups with games that went down to the wire, the JDX FIFA 2019 Champion was crowned when Ibrahim Mohammed emerged victorious in the final game! Soon after, the standout team of the event The Late Ones took the title of JDX Rocket League Champions.

Fresh off the back of Bugha winning the Fortnite World Cup, Joshua Lopez stepped up to the plate to put on a show, before being crowned JDX Fornite Champion.

With Kyle Walker (@kylewalker115) leading the celebrations, Ibrahim, Joshua and The Late Ones both had oversized checks and medals in hand with the next stop on their Esports journey being…Las Vegas!
