This week, we headed to the intu Trafford Centre in Manchester for the 2nd heat of our very first JDX gaming event!
For the qualifying round, we were joined by loads of local, amateur gamers hoping progress through to the semi-finals. Not only that, we took the ultimate influencer squad dressed in head-to-toe fire, as well as FIFA Esports commentator and host, Brandon Smith.
Playing to WIN…
With only 36 spots in the semi-finals, competition was seriously high! The gamers and influencers took part in Fortnite, FIFA19 and Rocket League tournaments.
With a full-day to battle it out, only the best of the best could make it through.
Influencer Style
As always, the JD crew brought the heat. Manchester-based Dancer and JD-ambassador Joe Price (@joepricee) looked super fresh reppin’ the iconic Croc in a matching Lacoste tracksuit.
Keepin’ it low-key so he could focus on the games, Taryl (@tarylboothe) wore a clean white tee, Nike track pants and a pair of Air Max 98.
Our-gal Abbi Holden (@abbiholden_) looked insane in a full Nike ‘fit. Comfort is key and this look has it nailed! We’re lovin’ the track top and shorts combo – perfect for everything from gaming to festivals…
Used to commentating as opposed to playing, FIFA Esports host Brandon Smith (@bsmith_esports) might not have had success in the tournament but his look was fresh! Nothin’ beats a classic tee with denim. And Air Max 95’s always turn heads.
Coming Soon!
On Saturday 3rd August, we’ll be taking over Salford’s MediaCityUK Dock10 for the semi-finals and FINALS. Not just for gamers, spectators can get involved too! With everything from retro arcades to gaming simulators it’s guaranteed to go off.
The best part? Winners will get the ultimate Esports training experience in Las Vegas AND the chance to join Team JDX.
