Just Dropped: Nike Air Force 1 Crater

Continuing their Move to Zero, Nike just dropped an all- new silhouette built with sustainability in mind; the Air Force 1 Crater.

Dropping in two colourways exclusively for gals, this sneaker gives the ’82 icon a fresh new look.

Move to Zero

Nike are serious about protecting the planet and Move to Zero is their journey to zero carbon and zero waste to help protect the future of sport. They’ve been making big changes!

The guys at Nike are constantly rethinking and reinventing the materials that go into each and every one of their products, as well as reviewing the processes used in making them. As part of their journey, they dropped the Air VaporMax 2020 Flyknit back in July, followed by the Revival collection and now…the Air Force 1 Crater.

Make an Impact

First dropping back in ’82, Bruce Kilgore’s Air Force 1 has been defining street style for the past few decades. It’s seen loads of colourways, collabs and new tech since it first dropped, and now it’s time it was reimagined through the lens of sustainability. The Air Force 1 Crater doesn’t just make an impression, it makes an impact.

Nike’s everyday sneaker staple has been switched up! The all-new deconstructed design brings a never-before-seen AF1 look. It has the same, low-profile style but has stitched overlays made from 24% recycled synthetic leather. With a translucent toe box, these sneakers reveal materials salvaged from scraps for a reclaimed aesthetic.

Underfoot, expect the same, signature cushioning that the AF1’s known for – but with a sustainable twist. These trainers are sat on a Crater Foam midsole, which uses at least 20% recycled fabrics by weight. With a speckled outsole made from 15% Nike Grind rubber, each pair is extra durable and totally unique!
