Soccer Aid 2020: What Went Down

Didn’t catch it live? After first being delayed back in June, Soccer Aid 2020 took place behind closed doors last night.

Packed with tension, banter and yet another penalty shootout, the likes of Love Island’s Kem, Joe Wicks, Chelcee Grimes, Roman Kemp and loads more celebs all took to the pitch at Old Trafford to help raise funds for Unicef.

Didn’t catch the game and missed JD’s latest TV ad? We’ve got you covered right here ⬇️ ⬇️

What You Missed

After a long wait, Soccer Aid was back! After taking the L last year, Wayne Rooney took charge of England XI in the hope of seeing success in 2020.

After just nine minutes, former Tottenham player Robbie Keane scored from the edge of the box – giving World XI the lead. Though the team could only celebrate for three minutes, before England fought back with a goal from YouTuber, Yung Filly.

With a score of 1-1 at full time, for the third time in three years Soccer Aid 2020 had to be decided by a celebrity penalty shootout! DJ Locksmith missed for World XI, but England’s Lee Mack also missed his penalty – for the second year in a row. In the end, it came down to Chunkz to keep England in it. After aiming wide at the Stretford End, World XI took home the title!

A record-breaking total of over £11.5m was raised to support Unicef!
