Traditional Surfaces (soft/firm ground)
Traditional surfaces such as parks and playing fields tend to be softer during the rainy months of the British football season. Longer studs are recommended on these surfaces to stop players slipping over during the game.

Shorter blades and studs are recommended on these types of surfaces, which tend to be shallower and more consistent than parks, although longer studs and astro turf trainers can also be used.
It’s best to ask your child or their coaches to understand which boots would be the most appropriate before gifting. Or better still, most venues publish the details of their facilities online.
