It’s official. Nike just dropped the Air VaporMax 2020 Flyknit! Landing in full family sizing, these sneaks are the next step in Nike’s journey to zero carbon and zero waste; Move to Zero.
Built through the lens of sustainability, the all-new trainer is made with at least 50% recycled content by weight – that’s a lot of rubbish!

Move to Zero
Nike are serious about protecting the planet and Move to Zero is their journey to zero carbon and zero waste to help protect the future of sport. They’ve been making big changes!
They’re constantly rethinking and reinventing the materials that go into each and every one of their products, as well as reviewing the processes used in making them. As part of their journey, they’ve created an all-new VaporMax using recycled materials and an all-new, full-length Air unit.
Nike’s product design lead, Jesi Small said:
“We wanted to look at not only Nike’s waste stream but other industrial waste streams and how we could leverage that content. We let that drive a lot of the decision-making.”

Up Close
The VaporMax 2020 uses leftover materials straight from the factory floor! Nike have transformed waste into fresh innovation. A bold new style with a reduced carbon footprint – win-win!
The new sneak has a stretchy, recycled Flyknit upper that uses post-industrial yarn, which gives it a whole new look and feel. The ‘OG’ edition that’s just dropped comes in a Pure Platinum colourway with woven, multi-coloured detailing and an unmissable TPU heel clip.
Underfoot, they’re sat on a revolutionary, one-piece VaporMax Air unit, which packs in more Air than ever before, while making use of at least 75% recycled TPU. Not just creating sustainable tech, they use 100% renewable energy in the process of making it.
They have a recycled, Nike Grind rubber outsole for traction, and are finished with a Flyease fast fit system for a locked in fit, as well as the iconic Swoosh logo to the sidewalls.
