Summer is officially over and Autumn is finally here! The temp is dropping, the weather is more unpredictable than ever, and let’s face it, the usual weekend plans just aren’t gonna cut it any more.
Say goodbye to family BBQs, relaxing in the sun and taking trips to the nearest beach – they’re on hold until at least the spring! So, what’s the plan for free time in the fall?
We’re gonna remind you how exactly you spent your weekends before the summer, and go through all the essential autumn activities that you’ll wanna try out.
One of the things that you might have missed during the summer while you’ve been enjoying the sun is taking the time to catch up with whatever sport and team you follow.
Why not take the opportunity to have a Super Sunday marathon and watch the biggest Premier League clashes live? Or if you’re more of a Rugby fan, catch all of the weekend action from the Rugby World Cup – it’s on for six weeks so there’s loads to enjoy!
If you’re not liking the idea of spending your weekends indoors, there is an obvious alternative…head out to the games in person! For Rugby and Football especially, summer was the off-season, but with autumn comes regularly scheduled competition. Grab tickets for your local team and go and show your support in person!
You’ve had your fun in the sun, so now could be great time to get serious about your fitness once again. Rome wasn’t built in a day, and after fast food and holidays it’s gonna take a little time to get back motivated. It’s never too early top pre for next summer right?
First things first, you need to pick up the performance gear that’s built to put in work, and from there it’s all about puttin’ a plan into action. Whether you’re heading to the gym on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, or ALL three, it’s all about refocusing your efforts now that outside activities are less doable. For that extra boost of motivation, check out the latest fitness ‘fits for men and women on site RN.
Not limited to just Sundays of course, but this is the time of year where all you really need at the weekends is a comfy sofa, a cosy blanket and all your favourite shows available on-demand. Perfect ?.
And guess what? There’s LOADS of shows that you could be binge-watching at the weekends. With it being Autumn and officially spooky season, you could check out the latest series of Stranger Things or American Horror Story ahead of Halloween? If you’re not down for the spooks, then it’s okay to stick with the classics – Breaking Bad, The Sopranos, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones and loads more!
Basically, there’s enough shows and series’ so that you could do only this with your weekends until spring comes back around…not that we’d recommend that…
If you want to keep those home comforts while still going out and making the most of the weekend, then the cinema is a good compromise.
They’re past the summer blockbusters by now, so you can head to the cinema and enjoy any of the autumn thrillers currently out. Scratch your Sci-Fi itch with Brad Pitt In Ad Astra or see some non-stop action with the Rambo: Last Blood.
What’re your genre or mood, you’ll always find something to suit you at the cinema (and you can even grab a bite to eat while you’re out ?)
We know the weekend is peak shopping time and that with a new season comes new essentials. But if the weather’s lookin’ bad, is it really worth heading out? Luckily, there’s ways to browse and buy exactly what you need from the comfort of your own home.
