Anthony Joshua will look to reclaim his championship belts when he squares off against Andy Ruiz Jr. in their highly anticipated rematch – taking place on Saturday 7th December in Ad-Diriyah, Saudi Arabia.
Pulling off one of the biggest upsets in sporting history, Ruiz became an overnight sensation by defeating the British superstar in New York’s Madison Square Garden last June. In the process, he became the first ever Mexican heavyweight champion of the world.
Suffering an early knockdown in the third round, Ruiz rose to the occasion by subsequently felling the undefeated Joshua a total of four times, before the referee waved off the fight in the seventh.
In a recent interview with JD Sports, Anthony Joshua analysed what went wrong for him in the first encounter and appears to be more motivated than ever to reclaim his belts and continue upon the #ROADTOUNDISPUTED
