The 5 Stages of EVERY Results Day

Today’s the day; GCSE results day. Though your exams back at the start of summer may feel like years ago, today’s the day you find out if all the blood, sweat and revision paid off!

One thing we’re gonna say is…don’t panic. Everyone is feeling like you RN. To make you feel a lil better, we’re getting into the Results Day spirit by wrapping up the 5 very real stages of pretttty much every results day!

1.)    No Sleep the Night Before

It’s the night before the big day and that means one thing – zero sleep! You’re thinking back to three months ago when you had to skip a five-mark algebra question on the maths paper…Will this be the difference between a pass and fail?!

2.)    Morning Nerves

Your alarm goes off…only an hour after you finally made it to sleep. This is when the nerves start really kicking in. Breakfast is the last thing on your mind and the stress of choosing an outfit is all too real.

3.)    School Stress

You’ve made it to school to collect your results. You thought seeing your mates would make you feel better but they’re stressed x 100, no help. And, the queue for your results feels like it last days!

4.)    The Sigh of Relief

You’ve got ‘em! Opening the envelope can go two ways. You’ve either passed (go you!) or you may have missed the mark a little. In which case, don’t panic! It might feel like the world’s ended right now but the best thing to do is accept your tried your best and move on. Besides, there’s always resits and it’s time to enjoy what’s left of the summer.

5.)    Time to Celebrate!

Whatever you got, tonight’s the night to celebrate and spend time with your mates. School? Completed it mate.
